Stunning for the price point
This is, essentially, quite a 'downgrade' for me, from a now somewhat vintage but trusty Yamaha workstation that has slowly disintegrated over the years, but this is a really stunningly good keyboard for the money. I was really quite hesitant, and looking for all sorts of alternatives, but having now taken the plunge, I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone... just buy it!Rich, full tones, and a beautiful (and LOUD! you could perform live without amping, easily) sound from the internal speakers, and quite honestly, a range of piano sounds that blow away those on my previous £2k workstation. Despite the daunting manual, everything seems fairly straightforward, including editing your own tones and rhythms, and recording to the internal sequencer. There are more voices and accompaniments than you'll ever be able to use, and the auto accompaniments - harmonies and arpeggios are incredible. You almost don't need to play it at all - just give it a general idea of what you want and it'll pretty much do it for you! :DIf I had one small criticism, it would be the non-interchangeable nature of the proprietary Casio CMS format, and the fact that you can't convert a MID or SMF to CMS to load INTO the sequencer, but it's a small point; I usually employ an external DAW anyway.Whether a novice or pro, if you're on the fence... just buy it! I really don't think you'll regret it.Edited to add: Just a few things I've come across after a few more days with the keyboard:One, the listed 'Song Book' in the contents does not exist, but there is a leaflet for a 'digital songbook' you can download. Except that after making you jump through hoops to make an account on a third party website, the code turns out to be invalid. Two, the promised promotion of a 3 month trial to Skoove has not materialised. So that's two things you're offered with the product that are false, so far!Added to which, Casio's support for the product appears to be basically non existent; if you try, you'll find yourself getting frustratingly directed from pillar to post, through dead links, and to websites right out of the 1980s. I can't even get approved for their forums to be able to download files. So there's a bunch of stuff that somewhat take the shine off my new purchase a bit, which seems to mostly be about Casio's complete lack of aftersales caring. So beware of that.

User Interface is Quite Bad
Delivery was wonderful, but as an Amazon Prime member it certainly should be. The packaging was fine also. The product itself is everything you'd expect from a keyboard at this price however, it is very hard to understand and use the functions when the assisting leaflet provided is in quite technical terms. And as this being my first keyboard, that wasn't great. The range of sounds is vast but navigating from one set of sounds to another is a complicated process at first. The sound itself is quite authentic in a sense with the pressure sensitive keys coming in very handy. If you really want to excel with this keyboard you'll need to find a lot of spare time to understand it and then buy a sustain pedal which is essential in my opinion. It doesn't weigh as much as you'd think, therefore making it more portable than other keyboards of the same size. In terms of aesthetics, it looks fantastic.Overall, a nice product but improvements can be made.

Sound Buy.
After much research, I was looking at the new CT-X500, but then discovered this one (CTK-6200) has got almost exactly the same specification for half the price!Pros: Price - recording, editing & sampling - USB+SD Card - "Piano style keys - Touch Sensitivity - and other features.Cons: Hard to read function labelling (awful - small print and dull, dark background!) Really awkward and fiddly to find "Drums" function and not mentioned in Manual! Some sounds *still* (after many years) are not good, like Strings/Guitar/etc.However, Piano, Wind & Brass are all very good.Even the newer models from Casio or other brands have similar faults with small print and function. Come on you lot, you've had 20-30 years to get these problems sorted out!

A great keyboard for any guitarist to learn keyboards on....
First of all, I'm a complete newbie to the world of keyboard playing, having only played guitar for the last 30 odd years. Knowing roughly what features I wanted, I did many comparison tests before settling on the Casio CTK-6200 and I can safely say I think I made the right choice. I'll not bore you with what functions this keyboard has as these have been covered by others in previous reviews and on YouTube. All I will say is that if you are a guitarist who wants to expand his knowledge of other instruments, or a recording artist who wants to add an extra element to their tracks, then you can't go far wrong with this keyboard. For me, this device suits better the working or home player as opposed to other makes; the interface is easy to use and the range of outputs is well catered for the gigging or home recording musician. I'm still learning how to play keyboard properly and the free three month on-line tuition is a bonus that I didn't expect. All in all, I very pleased with this purchase and have no hesitation in recommending the Casio CTK-6200 to any guitarist who fancies a dabble with keyboards at a reasonable price.

OH YES!!.. being a keyboardist for the past 36 years and having wrote many tracks on synthesisers work stations..etc!.. this keyboard is one of the best practice keyboards I've ever used.. the voices on it are fantastic really for the price you pay!..it's is however a work sation and ever note voice sound drum 🥁 can be rearranged changed messed around with.. just like I'd expect of a work station keyboard!!.. very easy to useUSB n computer compatible!.. it's a very serious fantastic instrument for the money and I'm totally happy to use it as a practice keyboard and the keys themselves are very fast and not sluggish..even though they look heavy... there Not!.. which is exactly what I like being a lead player....BRILLIANT!! and well worth its value for the price!..

Has good sounds and beats .
Use for song writing recording , but do need effects to give you more than what it has .
