I have the rectangular version of this & I think the older product was better as sound is directional & feels like it gives a better range of sound. Does not come with a protective case which I feel is needed to protect your investment. This product arrived promptly and is really good quality, seems very sturdy. It has great space for the speaker and charging cradle but I had to dismantle the lead and plug, only to find that it didn't hold the prong section of the plug without trying to jam it in somewhere. My husband suggested buying a matching case designed for headphones to hold the charging base, lead and plug without dismantling and problem solved! I am really pleased with the items and will be using them all the time to protect my Bose speaker from dust when not in use.
