I always make sure to place them snuggly, though, since anything made of glass is more prone to breakage if knocked over. The bristles however are very stiff and tightly packed. I had way too much trouble getting any type of bottle to stand upright. The narrow neck of bottles combined with the wider body prevent you from getting them set deep enough to support themselves. We just use dishwasher and fresh dish towels to let bottles dry on their sides. The simplest solution is often the best.
