Just set the dial to the expected voltage setting i.e 2 volts for a 1.5 volt AAA battery and place the probes either end of the battery. Good new battery will show 1.5 volts and older/used batteries with less life will be lower i.e 0.8 volts so need replacing. **Q: Is there a Calibration certificate ?** A: I did not receive a calibration certificate with my meter, so don't think so.
