They're not super soft but not scratchy but they dry you so fast! They quality is good and nice and thick and they dry so fast as well! We actually used the smaller ones as dishcloths to dry our dishes after washing up and they didn't so fast! Will definitely be buying more. They wash well and keep their shape. For the overall price they are really great quality and they also have a nice little handy towel ring attached so you can hang on a hook in the bathroom if needed. We've taken them swimming with us and they dry in half the time.
