I did need to swap my microphone in Settings, but that's easy. It took a bit of hunting around as the instructions are a bit sketchy, but it only took a few minutes to get it done. the microphone needed to be plugged into my PC, daisy chaining it off a USB port in a monitor didn't work. Now that all that is covered, it has an attractive look, seems to be built well, and functions just as a desktop microphone should. No one has trouble hearing me, and the mute button on the unit works well. I bought this unit because I had to raise my voice to be heard on the microphone built into my laptop. This comes with a user manual, and the steps to setup are easy. I wanted to use my mic with Pro Tools and found a YouTube video explaining how to make it show up as an input source. In total, I took 5 minutes to set this mic up! The sound quality is pretty good. There's no muddiness compared to other mics I've used, which can make the sound a bit thin, but I did not have to do much EQ except to eliminate some room noise. Recommended input level is 75%, but I would suggest higher because I had to boost the signal quite a bit to get the desired output volume.
