Review: Great gift! - This was great and not as expensive as buying from this site. My son is able to put it together. All the materials were there. It was very fun and he still uses his little lamp! Will buy again
Review: Fun and Educational - I got this for my 10-year-old grandson's birthday. He loved it and we had fun building it together. It looks cool and is a good demonstration of some principles of physics.

## Features

- REAL-WORLD SCIENCE: Harness the power of physics to engineer a mind-boggling magic trick — a levitating wooden lantern that floats in thin air! Then learn all about how tension and tensegrity make this “impossible” illusion possible.
- BUILD-IT-YOURSELF: Open your DIY wooden lantern kit, wire up the lantern, build the lantern base, then pick up the stand and move it around to see the levitation in action. Learn how to tinker with and troubleshoot your lantern until it works just right.
- EDUCATIONAL: Try tilting and tipping your lantern around to test the limits of its levitating power. Then explore the science of tension and tensegrity and how they make your levitating wooden lantern tick.
- HANDS-ON FUN: Discover the science and mechanics behind a variety of levitating illusions — from magnet-powered “magic” tricks to whole hovering magicians. Then check out some early prototypes and sketches of your lantern, and read all about the inspo behind the design.
- TESTED BY KIDS, TRUSTED BY PARENTS: For 15 years, KiwiCo has designed hands-on projects that spark creativity and confidence in kids of all ages. More than 5.6 million families in 51 countries have chosen KiwiCo, with over 60 million crates shipped and counting.
