The main surprise was that it worked for the tomato plant I was growing in a 5 gallon bag. The plant was getting pretty big and I was going on vacation for a week. I thought it would be dead when I got back but it survived and has done great throughout the season, grew enormous and lots of fruit. I also use it for the bags in which I grow salad greens. Those don't need as much water but its nice not to have to worry about watering as much. Review: Fantastic quality of life upgrade for keeping plants watered with low maintenance - I’ve been using these AC Infinity self-watering bases for a bit, and they’ve definitely saved me some time in the grow tent. The build quality feels solid, and the reservoir meter is a genuinely helpful feature to see when I need to refill without lifting the pots. They do a good job of keeping the fabric pots consistently hydrated, which seems to help the plants stay more stable between waterings. Setup was pretty straightforward, and they fit the standard-sized pots well. While they are a bit of an investment for plastic trays, they feel durable and functional for anyone trying to automate their watering routine a bit more. Overall, they do exactly what they claim to do, and I haven’t had any issues with leaks or clogging so far. It’s a solid, reliable choice for indoor growing. ## Features - Potted plant stand features a patented design that delivers water to fabric pots without active irrigation. - Automatically directs water up to your plant's roots using the included adjustable length wick lines. - Heavy-duty drip tray collects runoff water for redelivery and can withstand planters up to 100 pounds. - Reservoir plate lifts your fabric pot off the ground to keep algae and other buildups from spreading. - Included gauge displays the current water level while the strainer spout enables quick replenishment. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0B1SL84RG | | Best Sellers Rank | #23,740 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #112 in Automatic Irrigation Accessories | | Brand Name | AC Infinity | | Capacity | 5 gallons | | Color | Black | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 1,774 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00819137022706 | | Included Components | Reservoir Meter | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor, Outdoor | | Item Dimensions | 16.57 x 16.57 x 3.18 inches | | Item Weight | 3.38 kg | | Manufacturer | AC Infinity | | Manufacturer Part Number | AC-SPA5-4 | | Material | Possible materials: Polypropylene (PP), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Polyethylene (PE), Polyformaldehyde, Polycarbonate (PC), Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) Material Possible materials: Polypropylene (PP), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Polyethylene (PE), Polyformaldehyde, Polycarbonate (PC), Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) See more | | Material Type | Possible materials: Polypropylene (PP), Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), Polyethylene (PE), Polyformaldehyde, Polycarbonate (PC), Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) | | Model Number | AC-SPA5-4 | | Number of Pieces | 4 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Adjustable | | Plant or Animal Product Type | Plastic | | Planter Form | Plant Pot | | Product Style | Modern | | Set Name | 4-pack | | Shape | Platform | | Size | Standard | | Special Feature | Adjustable | | Style | Modern | | UPC | 819137022706 | ## Product Details - **Color:** Black - **Planter Form:** Plant Pot - **Special Feature:** Adjustable - **Style:** Modern ## Images ![Self-Watering Fabric Pot Base, Auto-Irrigation, 4-Pack - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/513+hmwxOcL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: if im only using a 3 gal fabric pot should i use only 1 rope ?** A: I think I'd still use 2 ropes (wicks) but put them in the inner circle of holes. **Q: Has anyone tried a 7 gallon pot** A: Yes, and the seven gallon pot is MUCH too big. I found this out the hard way. **Q: does the wicking cord go thru the fabric pot or just lay underneath it on top of the plate ?** A: No it has grooves the rope lays in **Q: how many trays are included?** A: 4. You get 4 complete setups. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works great *by R***L on September 9, 2026* I was skeptical that this would work, but thought I'd try it and it's been great, I'm buying more. AC Infinity comes through again. *by D***K on May 28, 2025* I admit I was very skeptical about these bases when looking into them, and it took me a bit to finally try these out. I bought the 4 pack, and oh man, the results were shocking. I'm growing 7 plants in a grow tent using super soil, 4 with these auto-water bases, and 3 without. It's not even close, the ones with the auto water bases are doing so much better than the 3 I am watering manually. The leaves are so much bigger, and the plants are lush, and robust compared to the control 3. They are doing so much better in fact, that I bought another 4 pack of these to bolster the 3 control plants. My plants are so much happier with these, and the convenience is just a bonus. My tent, and it's systems are AC infinity as well, with humidity, and climate controlled by program. With these bases, I don't really need to do much except check in on them to see that they are doing well, and to water them when the bases are low. So much easier having everything automated. Takes all the work out of a grow. Highly recommend AC-Infinity products for their durability, reliability, and quality. They also stand by their products, any problems I've had with defects, or damaged items have always been met with a responsive team at AC Infinity to satisfy any issues I've had. ## Frequently Bought Together - AC Infinity Self-Watering Fabric Pot Base, 4-Pack Auto-Irrigation Water Delivery System with Reservoir Meter, Elevated Plant Saucers for Use in Indoor Grow Tents, Greenhouses, and Outdoor Gardens - AC Infinity Heavy Duty Fabric Pots, 5 Gallon Aeration Reusable Grow Bags 5-Pack with 500G Thick Nonwoven Fabric and Multi-Purpose Rings, for Low Stress Plant Training Fruits, Vegetables, and Flowers - AC Infinity Heavy Duty Fabric Pots, 3 Gallon Aeration Reusable Grow Bags 5-Pack with 500G Thick Nonwoven Fabric and Multi-Purpose Rings, for Low Stress Plant Training Fruits, Vegetables, and Flowers --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/444288880-self-watering-fabric-pot-base-auto-irrigation-4-pack](https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/444288880-self-watering-fabric-pot-base-auto-irrigation-4-pack) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kenya* *Store origin: KE* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
