Review: Amazing for hypermobility - I have EDS, and my finger joints are so severely hypermobile that it is painful to do things like type, write, or craft for long periods of time because the hyperextension starts to cause pain. These little finger rings are godsends. It takes a few packages for me to get enough of them onto each hand but they do the trick, and are much cheaper than getting a custom set (though I am saving up to get one of those in the future). It's a great way to brace on a budget. I work in healthcare and am constantly washing my hands. I do not have to worry about getting this device wet. The aluminum/blue foam device gets wet and causes wet skin breakdown when worn for long periods of time. The only complaint that I have about this device is that it rides right across the site of my injury (see photos). That often results in slight swelling and more pain. Also, I felt that the device needed adjustment to better straighten my finger. So I tried several methods to heat the plastic and bend it into a better shape. I even tried boiling it. No luck. The shape seemed to stay the same. Also, I measured my finder as instructed, and ordered a device. It was too small and I had to order a much large device. Not sure if I did the measuring correctly.
