Yes, after a while you might get a water whistle that comes and goes but it has not yet affected the water level or ability to flush. This is a great product and I use them in all my toilets. Five stars. Review: This is the only style I found to work with truly hard water - This style of toilet valve is the only one I have found to work with hard well water, e.g. greater that 1000ppm. Anything that goes up and down a shaft, or those internal valves that are still on a stick, absolutely will stick open, running you out of water. I was going to give it four stars because it does make a noise when it shuts off. However,I am thankful for that noise because that means I’m not going to run out of water. I have replaced two of these in my master bath toilet in less than a year. It's only me in this house, so they are not being worked too much. The water level varies so much that one cannot just 'flush and go' or you will fill your septic tank with fresh water, and pay the water company for the privilege. THESE SUCK!
