Follow the simple instructions on the package for your initial use. I was able to play a PCVR game for 2 hours and when I was done, the battery was at 98%, of which, is what it was at when I began playing. I am using a higher wattage charger, so I'm sure this helped keep it charged while playing. I would suggest using a 32w-45w charging brick with a USB-C to USB-C connection to the cable. For the price, especially compared to what Quest wants for their cable, is beyond worth it. It's nice to be able to sit down and play a sim for a few hours, take a break, and go to a wireless game and you don't have to wait 2 hrs in between while the unit charges back up. Quality of the cable seems very good with a heavy duty cable. Connection is snug and shows no signs of being able to fall out due to movement. With that said, manage your cable while you play so you don't break the end off in the HMD. Review: Good at first, dies after a few weeks. Thick cord, loose wires. - This cord was great while it lasted. When I first got it, I thought I found the perfect cord. It had a good thickness, it had good performance, it was great overall. But 4 weeks after usage, it got this issue where it would disconnect every 20 min or so. It was just a simple disconnect and reconnect that lasted 2 seconds, but that's enough time for steam vr to say you unplugged your headset and make you restart without saving anything. I was surprised because this is a thick cord, but apparently the internal wires werent very strong/well connected. I feel like I wasted my money because it turns off oculus link every 20 minutes or so after the first 4 weeks. It's a great charger, just not a good link cable. ## Features - Compatible for Quest 3/3S/2/Pro : Kuject link cable can be used with a original charging cable and charger to give VR headset the effect of charging and playing at the same time. - Double Power Output: Feature a dedicated 9V 2A charging port that can bypasses the low-power limits of computer USB ports. Charge much faster and more even (Most computer USB ports restrict current to 0.5-1A) - Smart Safe Charging: Exclusive smart chips regulate current and maintain battery around 78% for safety use of electricity and longer battery lifespan. - Fast Data Transfer: USB 3.0 cable supports speeds up to 5Gbps (verified speed up to 3Gbps on Quest). For best performance, plug into a blue USB 3.0 or newer port. - Reliable & Hassle-Free: This link cable is built to last—resistant to bending, stretching, and abrasion. Includes a user guide for easy setup and troubleshooting. Backed by an 18-month warranty and friendly customer support ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B09TN25765 | | Best Sellers Rank | #1 in Modem Cables | | Brand | Kuject | | Brand Name | Kuject | | Cable Type | USB | | Color | Black | | Compatible Devices | Laptop | | Compatible Phone Models | Potentially compatible with smartphones, specific models unknown | | Connectivity Technology | USB | | Connector Gender | Male-to-Male | | Connector Type | USB Type C | | Customer Package Type | Coiled in protective tubing | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 6,534 Reviews | | Data Transfer Rate | 5 gigabits_per_second | | Ethernet Cable Category | Cat 6 | | Frequency | 90 hertz | | Included Components | Kuject Design Link Cable | | Indoor Outdoor Usage | Indoor, Outdoor | | Item Length | 16 feet | | Item Shape | Round | | Manufacturer | Kuject | | Maximum Current | 2 A | | Maximum Voltage | 5 volts | | Model | MT005 | | Model Name | Link Cable | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Pins | 4 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Playing while Charging, High Speed Transfer | | Outer Material | Nylon | | Part Number | MT005CA | | Recommended Uses For Product | PCVR gaming, connecting VR headset accessories, and charging VR headsets | | Special Feature | Playing while Charging, High Speed Transfer | | Specification Met | Some Industry Standards Met | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Wattage | 18 watts | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Kuject - **Cable Type:** USB - **Compatible Devices:** Laptop - **Connector Type:** USB Type C - **Special Feature:** Playing while Charging, High Speed Transfer ## Images ![Kuject 16FT Link Cable with Charging for Meta Quest 3S / 3/2 / Pro,Pico 4 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71xV+Aw0CkL.jpg) ![Kuject 16FT Link Cable with Charging for Meta Quest 3S / 3/2 / Pro,Pico 4 - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71iKawC7fML.jpg) ![Kuject 16FT Link Cable with Charging for Meta Quest 3S / 3/2 / Pro,Pico 4 - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71HxKf4WmuL.jpg) ![Kuject 16FT Link Cable with Charging for Meta Quest 3S / 3/2 / Pro,Pico 4 - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/714XgpOFs5L.jpg) ![Kuject 16FT Link Cable with Charging for Meta Quest 3S / 3/2 / Pro,Pico 4 - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71YUQDKrd+L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does it still charge in 2023 on version 49?** A: Yes? **Q: Can it be used with rtx 3060 and windows 11** A: Yes for sure **Q: I lost my official quest 2 charger, will a 3rd party charger work?** A: Yes **Q: what is the difference between the QC protocal and the PD protocal?** A: QC chargers are designed for devices that use Qualcomm Snapdragon processors, while PD chargers are more flexible and can be used to charge a wider range of devices, including laptops and tablets ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keeps Quest 3 charged when unit is powered on *by E***G on January 10, 2024* Quest Link for PCVR works as it should. Thick cord, loose wires. *by O***M on February 10, 2021* This cord was great while it lasted. When I first got it, I thought I found the perfect cord. It had a good thickness, it had good performance, it was great overall. But 4 weeks after usage, it got this issue where it would disconnect every 20 min or so. It's a great charger, just not a good link cable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Product slightly misleading, but best after market cable you can get. *by B***T on June 8, 2022* Product is built well and is plenty long for VR. Using a USB-C power meter, I’m able to see the amperage that different cables are able to supply. The in-the-box oculus usb-c to usb-c cable charges at 5V/2A(amps) which is what oculus intended for the oculus to receive. (I’ve also tested a 6ft usb-c to usb-c cable that also charged at 5V/2A). Almost all link cables you’ll find on here on Amazon will only do 5V/1A which is unfortunately not enough to keep the headset charged for very long periods of time. Finally to this product, it’s better than other products in that it charges at 5V/1.4A. I was excited to see this product advertise 2A charging but so far I haven’t seen it. From initial impressions with this cable, I was able to barely sustain charge at lower battery levels. I wasn’t able to see the battery increase 0-3% every hour like the product describes. BUT the oculus didn’t die on me which is a huge plus! Also interesting tidbit, when the oculus charger isn’t plugged into the box on this cable, the oculus will only charge 5V/0.6A. So make sure you plug in your oculus charger into this cable otherwise it’s worse than other cables! I definitely recommend this as it’s the best option and I’m too cheap to try out the $80 oculus link cable to find out if that cable is able to truly carry the 2A over the longer cable. ## Frequently Bought Together - Kuject Design 16FT Link Cable for Quest 3S/3, Quest 2 and Quest Pro, with Separate Charging Port for Uninterrupted Power, USB 3.0 Type A to C Cable for VR Headset Accessories and Gaming PC - Meta Quest 3 512GB — Ultimate Mixed Reality Experiences — Get Batman: Arkham Shadow and a 3-Month Trial of Meta Quest+ Included - KIWI design K4 Comfort Head Strap Accessories for Meta/Oculus Quest 3/3S, Non-Battery Lightweight Head Strap --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/427159936-kuject-16ft-link-cable-with-charging-for-meta-quest-3s](https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/427159936-kuject-16ft-link-cable-with-charging-for-meta-quest-3s) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kenya* *Store origin: KE* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
