I was a little cautious after reading the reviews regarding sizing and trimming of the pad but ended up being pleasantly surprised. The rug pad itself is great quality with nice cushioning effect. It was easy to tailor to my rug and I had no issue cutting it with Ryiobi scissors. It has no odor and while it arrived folded in the box it flattened within 12 hours of being unwrapped without even leaving weight on it. Product is slightly larger than 5'x7'- trimming it will be annoying, but it's definitely better to be over than under. It's also not cut square. The the carpet is definitely nicer to walk on with the padding under it, though it does feel a little uneven due to variations in the recycled material. Shipped folded, not rolled, but didn't hold any creases and lays perfectly flat under my rug. The product came in a plastic bag with holes exposing the product to weather, but no signs of damage. I suggest selecting the option to have amazon put it in a box. I'm confident it will protect my wood floor from any more abrasion from the rug. I thoroughly washed and shined the floor before replacing the rug, so I'm not surprised it slides around a bit. I expect it to settle in time.
