I specifically chose this brand because the batteries were advertised as having a longer lifespan than other brands. My goal was to minimise the time spent replacing the multiple CR2032 batteries we use in our household. However, when I inserted a new PROCELL battery into the AirTag I intended to use, the device did not power up. Reinstalling an older battery from another brand immediately restored functionality. I then tested another PROCELL battery, but it also failed. I tried both new PROCELL batteries in other devices as well, and none of them worked. After unpacking all fifteen batteries, only three were functional. Twelve of them were delivered dead, resulting in a significant amount of electronic waste for no practical use. I tested all batteries in multiple devices to make sure it was not just a faulty AirTag.
