A: No, this set is not insulated.

A: I have been using it a lot since I bought it and have not seen any liquids leak, even when I put soup in it.

**Q: Does the inner dish seal up tight to the lid so that if I put cut up strawberries in one side and apples in the other they will not co-mingle juices?**
A: With the snall addition that comes with it. It is a completely separate compartment so the juices would not co mingle at all.
