It's better if you prevent it from drying quickly so don't use it in hot parts out in direct sun. If that's your only option, put a damp towel over everything while it soaks. A scrub brush helps a lot after the foam has been soaking into the grease and grime. Best of all, if you have a hot water heater that you can connect a hose to, use that hot water.
