His bleach addiction disintegrated our white cotton towels, along with high-temperature drying. That is why I got the dark color -- he doesn't get obsessed with getting them sparkling white anymore. Our dryer gets extremely hot so I would say these towels can stand up to Medium temperature in most household dryers, if you want extra germ-killing-power. Ours kills germs even on low for an hour (above 140F.) In commercial laundromats, definitely use the LOW temperature to keep them from wearing out quickly.
