Some of the 1/8 don't come off so cleanly. If you hit those with the end of a 2x4 about 2' long you can pop the broken bases off without resorting to using a grinder. Spin Dr. Will definitely cause a circular swirl mark if you crank down on them when there's thinset under the spinners.
