D-TEK Stratus combines the excellent leak detection of INFICON D-TEK selct detectors with the cloud hunting capability of a large portable monitor all in one hand-held unit. Quickly locate the area containing the leak using the large, easy-to-read LCD display, and then pinpoint the leak with one instrument! D-TEK Stratus is the next big thing in refrigerant leak detection.

Review: 2 major issues, thanks to desertcart for support/refund, gonna re-order - I have d-tek select and been very happy with the tool. So, I purchased "the new" d-tek stratus for backup tool in Feb 2021. This new d-tek stratus had 2 faults. The beep sound was very low, I couldn't hear the beep on site due to the surrounding noisy on site. Also the power & volume buttons are very hard to push, the volume selections are only 2, 0% or 100%(but very low volume) only, instead of 3 as written on the manual. I emailed to inficon, the manufacturer, and was told that "this unit was part of a batch that had bad audio jacks." If only the manufacturer tested this product, they would've notice the issue straight away, and fixed the issue before they distribute & sold it. It's obvious the manufacturer didn't perform QC at all. I tried to repair it under warranty, but found it is very hard to proceed with warranty repair. desertcart USA kindly offered refund. I really hope the manufacturer, inficon fix these issue by the time I re-order this item. Anyway, great thanks to desertcart for accepting return/refund.

A: Hello and thank you for your question. Yes, D-TEK Select has the same filter (712-707-G1) as D-TEK Stratus.

With this sensor, D-TEK Stratus will detect R404a, along with all other CFCs, HCFCs, HFCs, and HFOs (including A2Ls). **Q: Hello, what sensor do I need for R-600?**
A: Hello and thank you for your question. The flammable refrigerant sensor (724-701-G3) will detect R600a. To use the flammable refrigerant sensor, firmware version 1.4 (or greater) is required for D-TEK Stratus. For D-TEK 3, firmware version 2.0 (or greater) is required. I have d-tek select and been very happy with the tool. So, I purchased "the new" d-tek stratus for backup tool in Feb 2021. This new d-tek stratus had 2 faults. Amazon will tell you to call the manufacturer for repairs. Inficon (The manufacturer) refuses to service the product since they say they don't sell to Amazon Canada. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super sensitive

Over the years I have had a number of different leak detectors. Different detector types for different situations, but this one is the bees knees. I had a leak in a large 60 by 65 chilled storage room with 2 evaporators on separate condensing units, one of which had a leak. Unsure if it was the condensing unit or the evaporator I turned the unit on,waited till the unit had initialized (about 90 seconds) opened the chiller door and entered. As soon as I was inside the detector went into alarm so I knew I was at the right place, reduced the sensitivity and proceeded to locate the leak. This detector saves so much time it pays for itself quickly and with a usb charging battery, no worries about carrying spares.
