**Q: Which side should the green compound be loaded on?**
A: It is pretty difficult to load up compound on a smooth strop. You end up getting a very uneven application.

The smooth side is pretty much what you want to get a polish so you don’t really need it. You would just be adding to the abrasiveness. And for that you already have the rough side.

**Q: Out of the box new, the rough side of the leather is white looking, is that compound already applied to the leather?**
A: whether it's the rough side or the suede side of the knife strop,there is no pre-applied polishing wax，You can apply the leather strop selectively according to your own habits

**Q: Why didn't i get the buffing compound i paid for? I basically oaid $16 for a $6 strop**
A: That sounds like a customer complaint that should be directed to the Customer Complaint Department.

**Q: How long is the leather stropping patch? I see it's 2 sided, - both rough, or one smooth, one rough side out?**
A: The dimension of the cowhide leather is 7.9" x 3", total length of the knife honing strop is 14.3", handle included, and this leather paddle has two side ,one side is rough, the other side is smooth.
