It does not have a solenoid. **Q: Can the 92000 be run off of a 120v to 12v converter?** A: I would be leery of it because the 92000 draws a huge amount of current, even the smallest version would draw 50 amps. You would probably melt your converter under load. My lowest model winch melted a 50 amp on/off power feed switch and I had to attach the wires directly to the 12V battery..
