Review: Beefy Beast for toughest jobs! - Large and heavy compared to DCD460 that it replaces, but more power and 400 rpm in low(vs 300 rpm). Never used it with drill bits, but I auger 8" & 10" post holes with it professionally. (Previous model DCD460 is maxed out with 8" augers). All the torque an average guy can handle in dry clay(the mechanical clutch is set for this level of torque... dry sand, wet sand, and frozen sand doesn't trigger it often). I wish it was 200-300 rpm for these big augers. The E-clutch helps you control twice as much power as other brands. Still prefer the old DCD460 model for 6" & smaller augers, but its discontinued. Review: Works as it should - Great tool for the job!
