How bad is he smell what are all of the sizes** A: No you will want to find something else. This will not work for sewing this onto anything. Putting on a wall or back of a door is fine. **Q: Has anybody used it to wrap pvc water pipes to reduce the dounds** A: Tried to cover pipe in wall but too thick to fit and cover with dry wall. **Q: Can i use this in a hvac room that gets warm because of the heat or do i have to worry about it bursting into flames?** A: My experience using wrapping a noisy refrigerator compressor tightly did not result in flames. Rather than replace the unit the Comp. which seemed noisy probably got a bit hotter. Still intact 3 years later **Q: I'm buying this to soundproof a window. What side should I put closest to the window itself - the eggshell or the flat surface?** A: If you want to reduce the sound transmission coming into the room, put the "eggshell" toward the window. If you want to reduce the sound transmitted through the window to the outside, put the "eggshell" toward the interior of the room. Keep in mind, this will help reduce some mid to high range sound, but lower range sounds will not be affected noticeably. So, it won't "soundproof" a window, but it should reduce things like street noise. ## Frequently Bought Together - BXI Double Noise Blocker Sound Proof Foam, 39.4 X 13.4 X 1 Inch Egg Crate Foam Rubber Sound Deadening Material, Dampening Acoustic Foams Panels for HVAC, Pipe, Machine, Window, Wall, Door - BXI Soundproofing Closed Cell Foam - 2 Pack Self-Adhesive 16'' X 12'' X 1.8'' Thickened Egg Crate Sound Proof Foam - Acoustic Foam Panels Great for Noise & Thermal Insulation (Black) - Kaqiluo 2 Pack High Density Self-Adhesive Sound Insulation Acoustic Closed Cell Foam, 0.4" x 12" x 71", 10 mm Thick,11.6 sqft Sound Proof Padding,Fire,Water Resistant Acoustic Treatment Foam --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/323598730-soundproof-foam](https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/323598730-soundproof-foam) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kenya* *Store origin: KE* *Last updated: 2026-10-18*
