GIANT 22" CLAM SHELL tridacna gigas WHITE CLAMSHELL

The media could not be loaded. This clam shell looks very natural. It’s heavy duty and well made, and was carefully packaged. It’s not blue as the inline photos look. But I expected that from the other reviews. I love it!

Thank you for the impressive packing ~~~~~ I was losing sleep over whether it would arrive in one piece --- cracked or broken. There was NO WAY this was not arriving intact!!Price is VERY reasonable; size is true to dimensions; looks GREAT!!!I would recommend this to ANYONE looking for "authentic-looking" sea decorations!

This shell looks like the real thing. Very well done and truly beautiful.

It's from a mold and the top (or bottom).. the outer shell is not blue. It's still very cool and the size is perfect plus it's heavy as a cement block - sturdy. I use it in my bathroom - to hold hand towels - very cute.

I was thrilled with this when I initially opened it. I had ordered it to use as a dog watering bowl but alas..............not a good idea. Much to my regret, the inside of the shell is painted and once I added water, the paint began to lift. It is very handsome and will use it decoratively on my porch but am disappointed. My fault for not investigating more closely.

I purchased this item to hold fruit---lemons, limes, oranges----in our home bar, which has a tropical/tiki theme. The cost of a real giant clam shell was prohibitive, and they are apparently endangered, so this seemed like a good option. I was concerned that it might appear unrealistic up close, but I am happy to report that it appears very natural, with ridges and other natural appearing markings molded in. It definitely did not disappoint. It arrived extremely well packaged within what appears to be a custom molded foam block----there was no way this thing was getting damaged in shipping. Item is highly recommended.
