Review: Solving inflammation-induced (psoriasis) and stress-induced hair loss - I'm a male, lower 20s. This is an excellent product. When it comes to hair, I generally keep it on the shorter side and don't do anything special to my hair other than clean and moisturize (aka. condition). It wasn't that long ago I had some really thick hair on my head. I caught things early on, but the short story is, that this product is the best combination you'll get for the price as of August 2020. I was experiencing hairloss, likely for a number of reasons. I suspect stress, increasing my cortisol levels, leading to increase of testosterone, potentially leading to the increase of DHT, leading to the androgen receptors on my hair cells getting overwhelmed and no longer growing and repairing. I am also carrying mild-moderate psoriasis for 12 years, so the inflammation is also not helpful for hair cells. When it came to shampoos, I generally focused more around the Psoriasis and dryness factors. I've tried a lot of the stuff you can get at the stores, I resorted to using Shea Moisture Coconut Oil shampoo for a while given it was a lot more mild than other shampoos, but it would still dry out my hair, leave my scalp a bit inflamed, so I'd only use it 1-2 per week. Then I tried Sebamed Extreme Dry Skin Relief Treatment Shampoo with 5% Urea. Yes you read that right, Urea. This is a synthetic compound that is identical to the stuff found in human sweat and urine and it's a great descaling agent (salicylic acid is also found in many anti psoriasis, dandruff and eczema shampoos). Much better using this than relying on topical steroids. It was a significant improvement and I used that for a while. That plus lifestyle/diet choices kept me in a very manageable spot. Wasn't a perfect solution, I can elaborate on the downsides if interested. As for hair loss, I didn't think too much to look into it until I got the psoriasis under control. I started looking into DHT blockers like ketoconazole, and it just so happens this is also used in the treatment of Psoriasis (and fungal infections too, fun fact). This shampoo contains 1% ketoconazole (I asked them), which is the most you can put in the US until you have to get a prescription grade one. It's effective if you use it consistently, and take your time in the shower to let it sit, running your fingers through your scalp each time to ensure that the product can touch closer to the bottom of the follicle. This stuff is magic. It's loaded with several simple (more "natural" sources of) DHT blockers and it likely does well for the microbiome as it's fairly gentle. This thing lathers pretty well and fast. It cleans the scalp aggressively, but doesn't hurt the follicles. I now use shampoo every day, for the first time in a decade. I don't get any scalp inflammation from descaling, and I have zero spots. If you have a more extreme case of hair loss, this might not work as well for you. If your diet is bad, you don't exercise well, or you don't have a hold on other things in life, then this might only let you stop the shedding vs. regenerate hair. If you catch things early on, this is your strongest approach for the lowest amount of side effects. And if you have Psoriasis, you can hit two birds with one stone. I don't recommend 1% Nizoral for that, as it will likely push you away from the benefit of ketoconazole as it dries out hair aggressively. But the 2% version might be necessary for some.
Review: Worth the try - In the past year, my hair loss was more noticeable after every wash due to menopause. Then I got Covid and it was coming out in large amounts. I happened on an article about DHT blockers, so I started searching desertcart for shampoos. This one had really good reviews for a reasonable price so I gave it a try. Within a week, I had less hair loss. I'm on my second bottle now and now I lose only the normal amount before menopause hit. I can also see new hair growing, about 1" in length. This shampoo also has a very pleasant peppermint scent that wakes me up every morning. I also take a DHT blocker supplement to help. Even my eyelashes are coming in better. This shampoo is great!!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ DR FORMULA HAIR & SHAMPOO VERY EFFECTIVE!!
*by V***T on May 27, 2020*

For anyone needing a good product without "fluff" as I've been there too many times to actually TRUST a product!! Everything is fake these days. However, I am a Christian and hope you will trust my review: Dr Formula hair vitamins and the shampoo are truly, both together, EFFECTIVE! I've tried the "other" hair vitamins and only found GROWTH in the Dr Formula hair vitamins! Please know that it does take a bit of time for it to circulate into your bodily system, be if you will be patient, you will see the difference! This goes for any product. The Shampoo is amazing and have felt my hair thicker each time. Not only that, but it's so good for your hair with all the good and natural ingredients. So many people have commented on the "health" of my hair now. I stopped using ammonia for coloring and went natural all the way meaning via product. I use Dr Formula hair vitamins with DHT blocker and the shampoo that I will not stop using!!
