When the ball is totally full I hold the stem tighten the hold on the pliers ( be careful not to damage the stem by pressing the pliers too much, With your fingers holding the open end of the stem close the cap and still pinching the stem with your fingers a release the pliers and push the stem into the ball. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it but after that all was good. I've had them blown up since they were delivered (probably a month or so) and a few of the balls lost a LITTLE bit of air and will need to be blown into a perfect tight ball.
