I have numerous brushes purchased directly from Sigma that are a couple of years old. I have never had this happen before. I'm thinking fake. **Q: Do y'all prefer to use this or the beauty blender sponge?** A: I prefer the Sigma F86 tapered kabuki brush to the beauty blender. I don't find the F80 to be good at getting in the corners and crevices of the eye. **Q: is sigma really all it is cracked up to be? i mean for the price i would hope so but i am an aspiring make up artist, so bc of the price, it it worth** A: The price is much but its worth every penny. I've had my brushes since 2014/2015 and maintained them with regular hygienic cleansing. They still work amazingly well. Please note I'm not an eveyday makeup wearer maybe 3x per week. **Q: Would this brush be helpful if applying a tinted moisturizer?** A: It's a terrible idea to put moisturizers in your brushes. Just use your fingers. You won't regret your purchase, I promise! :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product *by G***S on August 10, 2026* Best foundation brush, leave my face looking flawless ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent foundation brush *by L***8 on October 6, 2013* This brush feels incredibly soft on the skin, blends foundation beautifully, and does a good job getting around tough places (e.g., the nose). I have used it mainly with Lancome Teint Idole foundation and the Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation. Here are my thoughts compared to a few other brushes in my collection: Real Techniques Buffing Brush: The Sigma F80 is better for foundation. I do like the buffing brush with BB creams, but if I want to wear a foundation that is tougher to blend, the F80 is superior. I have fewer streaking issues with the F80 and I feel that I get a fuller coverage. Tarte Foundation Brush: This brush leaves a beautiful finish for the Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation BUT it is not great for getting into crevices and smaller spaces. The F80 is a lot better. It blends flawlessly all over the face. Real Techniques Expert Face Brush: This brush is good for BB creams and tinted moisturizers but it is really prone to streaking. The F80 is definitely worth the extra cash compared to the Real Techniques brush for tougher to blend foundations like Estee Lauder Double Wear or Tarte Amazonian Clay.
