Not sure if it's just laminated paper or what but it makes placing product sticker labels easy and if they need to be removed it can be done easily (as long as the sticker hasn't been on for too long). Unlike other bags that are just plain paper and would look ruined if water got on them, these are waterproof/grease proof. The only downside is that sometimes I order white and I receive black bags.
