The 2K series continues to impress and be leaps and bounds ahead of EA sports in terms of gameplay, graphics, and everything in between. The gamplay is smooth, and while I'm not big on the MyPlayer modes and all that, I am an old school gamer who prefers a very in-depth and rich Franchise mode. The Franchise mode does not disappoint, with both full season and franchise modes that you can completely customize. The graphics are insane. My fiance' will routinely walk by and think she is watching a real basketball game. The leap in graphics between the first version on next gen systems and this second iteration is amazing, it leaves me excited for the possibilities moving forward. There are some little buggy things here and there. For example, when a player goes into a "runner" or "floater" shot animation, they hit the shot about 98% of the time. Also, even though a wise man once said basketball is a game of runs, it can sometimes be impossible for your team to hit a shot, or the other team to miss a shot, when they go on a run. Utilizing timeouts properly can sometimes help to end a run, but it can get frustrating at times.
