**Q: Kind of a silly question, but does it include one or two brushes? Because the picture only shows one, and the title says "brush." Thanks!**
A: It's a pair of brushes. Definitely comes with two.

**Q: Would these be good for a beginner?  Or can anyone recommend some for a beginner.**
A: I don't see why they wouldn't be good for a beginner.  They are very "classic" in that they have a lot of spring in the wires and a fairly wide fan-out.  They remind me a lot of the brushes that were made in the early 60s when I was just learning to play.

**Q: Why is there a warning about a harmful carcinogenic chemical on the case of these brushes? What chemical is that?**
A: If have no idea. I would go to Vic Firth for that answer. I'm sure they don't want to sell an item that has this warning.

**Q: Do they work with elecronic drums? Yamaha DTX562K**
A: I wouldn't think these brushes would work well with electronic drums as they are quite light.  I think they are wonderful for traditional brush play on acoustic drums.  Since I wrote my review, they have become my "go-to" brushes for jazz work and 50's style rock 'n' roll.

The rubber handles feel amazing in the hands—grippy, comfortable, and perfect for long sessions without leaving my fingers feeling like I just arm-wrestled a cymbal. The retractable wires glide in and out smoothly, so I can switch from storage mode to “let’s swing” mode in seconds. The balance is spot-on. Light enough for whispery textures on the snare, but sturdy enough to dig in when the groove needs a little extra fire. I’ve used other brushes that felt flimsy or clunky—these are neither. They respond like they know exactly what I’m about to play, which makes me look (and sound) a lot cooler than I really am. In short: smooth, comfortable, and built like a pro tool. Whether you’re in a smoky jazz club (or just pretending in your living room), the Vic Firth Heritage Brushes deliver that buttery swish and snap every drummer dreams about.
