Review: What are these? Scales for ants? But really, they’re nice! - Sometimes you see a product picture and it’s obviously photoshopped into whatever scenario the picture is depicting. I saw these scales and was like “no way they’re that small”, but they are indeed that small! Perfect for me to carry around in my pocket at work. They’re the width of chopsticks, ink pens, pencils, other things of the same size (you get the point), and they’re super lightweight. A downside is the readings are also small. If you need to use this more often than every once in a while, you probably want a bigger scale, but for me it’s perfect. I’ve bought Mr. Pen products in the past and I like the variety of things they offer. Everything I’ve gotten from them feels sturdy and well made. Their prices won’t empty your wallet and you get a mustache sticker with every order!

**Q: Is there enough of a bevel on these to stop ink from smudging/bleeding underneath? Thanks!**
A: Not too sure, they lay flat to drawing board with paper, however, i use them mostly for measuring, when inking i have never used ruler, i use triangles, the metal is strong and rigid, i would use triangles that can easily be cleaned of any ink, i would think you risk the ink on the scale and blocking numbering then if you had to clean ink, you may remove the numbering too

A: It is about 3/8 of an inch. It is really small.
