My fat cat never keeps collar. Then will gorge. How do you switch tag & keep programmed to same cat?** A: There are no plans for an implanted chip version because detection is not reliable and take pets too long to activate the sensor. This upsets both the pets and the owners. The wireless tag attaches to the collar, it is very light weighing only 0.2 ounces. The feeder has Portion Control settings that divide the allowance in up to 24 smaller portions which are made available throughout the day, this prevents gorging. Wireless tags self register when they are detected by the feeder. The feeder will automatically measure and set the allowance of each pet separately, based on their behavior during a 1-3 day calibration. This feature is known as the AutoDiet Wizard. You can also lockout any pet as you desire and program manually if you prefer.
