After some internet searches: F1 = your target temperature (-50C to 99C) F2 = your temperature tolerance around F1 (plus or minus 1C to 10C) F3 = Compressor Delay Time. I'm not sure what this does. F4 = temperature calibration adjustment (-10C to 10C). Maybe the temp sensor isn't 100% accurate. So if you want 21C with a 3C band around that: F1 = 21C F2 = 3C The heating relay will switch on when temp = (21+3) In between (21-3) and (21+3) this unit does nothing, other than report the temperature. 21 and 3 are my example figures. There are others that are limited to a 120 watt heating element - does this one have a maximum wattage?** A: Yes I think it's something like 3amps. I ran the output through a 30amp relay. To be fair I don't think you'll find anything that will switch a 120watt load direct. For info, these units are really good at what they do. Just buy a relay with it and you'll be fine. **Q: Is the front panel splash or water proof ?** A: We are talking mains voltage here ,If its not mentioned then neither imho! Putting it in a box with a see through front would be safe as once its all set up theres nothing to fiddle with. Its just a badly designed thermometer with a relay but it works fine. **Q: Could I run 2 x 12v PC fan's directly off the back of this unit (12v version)** A: I don't see why not. The input of the 12v version has an operational rating of 3 watts i.e. 250 mA The switching relay is rated at 10A so as your two PC fans combined are going to be well below this it will work ok. Make sure your 12v supply can deliver 250mA plus whatever the fans need if it is used to supply the input and output of the unit. Most PC fans are very low current. Typical 140 mm Case Fan (2,000 RPM) 4.2 to 6 W (At 12v = 350 mA to 500mA) Smaller fans use less. **Q: This coming with Power supply for this unit?** A: The unit requires 12v DC power. If you want to power form the mains just buy a mains adaptor with a 12v DC output. I extended the temperature sensor wires by a few feet and it all still works.
