Got this one because of the versatility and attractiveness of chalk signs. This one is so simple and well-made that you will come up with reasons to use it that you didn't even have before. You can feel the quality from when you open the box. It's packaged well with nice foam corners (not the stuff that falls apart), and got here through normal shipping without blemish. The wood is nice and solid, the surface is smooth and it's easy to write on. Really shines with chalk markers. It's easy to erase as often as you want. The fact that it's magnetic means you can attach other media to it as well. The size of this board makes it useful for many things: a family board that everyone in the house can write on, a nice big surface for leading a group or teaching, a noticeboard or sign in a community space, a huge area for kids to draw on (you could put it at their eye level, instead of doing something permanent like chalkboard paint). We're going to use it to keep track of vacation funds, and we'll still have room left over. That said, it's very unobtrusive and doesn't protrude from the wall more than an inch or so. It comes with its own mounting hardware, which is easy to use. I'd recommend it to everyone. If you have a specific use for it, you'll love it.
