I'm not sure of the hardness rating of the steel. All they list for this item is a SK5 rating.

Q: Cannot close knife to difficult

If your can’t close it because the pin that keeps it still is stuck all you gotta do is force the pin to get unstuck but if it’s because the actual blade is difficult to unfold just lossen the screw it has on the side and add some type of oil so it can lubricate it so it could be easy to fold and unfold

1/8 from the handle to the nail nik, from there to the tip its tapered, this is a full flat grind.
