Achilles Desert Hawk X-MT All-Terrain Radial Tire - 305/70R17 119Q

My previous tires were expensive Goodyear Kevlars. I hardly put a lot of miles on my vehicle. The tires I had still looked new. They were just old and became hard and difficult to balance. With that said, I didn’t want to spend a lot of money just to have to replace them in a few years again at a greater loss.I was looking for a great value in a tire. These reviews really helped me with that decision. That’s why I’m paying it forward with an honest review. We all work hard for our money. Sometimes there is an item that’s a great value without the brand name.So far, these tires represent that. When I went to have them mounted and Road Force Balanced at my nearest Discount Tire.Right off, we noticed how few weights were needed to balance the tires. All were pretty consistent. I personally love the look and aggressiveness. As I first drove on them it was clearly a better ride. 8 Ply tires work great for the weight of my Jeep. The other reviews indicated how quiet these tires are. That was a very true assessment. The other added benefit I noticed was how few rocks these tires flipped up on the undercarriage. Just an occasional one here and there. The tread stays pretty much clean. I’ve worked these tires over out hunting the last 2 months. So far, so good. I’ll be purchasing these again in the future. I have been ecstatic about this purchase.

Very nice, aggressive look. Surprisingly quiet.***Two and a half year update. I have beat these tires up on very rough terrain as well as tortured them with above average highway miles. My two front tires wore down uneven so I had to replace them. (no fault of the tire. My front end was out of alignment from the lift) My rears, however had surprisingly held up very well for the abuse and miles. I rotated the rears to the front and put the two new ones in the rear. Here’s to more abusive miles!!

Great tire for the price !! I have had them for quite a while now and feel that i can make an honest review of my experience so far. Close to 15k miles total and around 2-3k have been off-road and they are holding up great! I have put these tires through sand, mud, rocks and snow and had great traction in every condition and i was rather impressed. They are a little slick on wet roads, but there roads here in Vegas are pretty slick as it is so can’t really say if it’s the tire. All in all it is a great tire, i will definitely purchase it again.

Just put a set of 4 of these 305/70/17 Achilles Desert Hawk XMT's on my 2004 dodge ram 1500 4x4. Granted they are brand new but are performing awesome in the dirt, gravel, mud and rain. These things look pretty sweet in the ad pictures and even cooler in person. They DO NOT BALANCE well, the shop put A LOT of weight on the rims and advised I maybe try balance beads because of the weight. I did, went with the counteract and put the 12oz of recommended for my size and tread. They still feel quite unbalanced driving down the freeway. I have definetely had better balanced mud terrains.

I have only driven a few miles on these tires but am happy so far. The tires look great, are quiet on the road and handle well. If you’re looking for a cheap tire this is a good option. I cannot speak on the life span of the tires but so far I am very pleased.

Had these installed over the weekend. Looks very nice and rides smooth and quiet for a MT. Have not taken it on the interstate yet but I do not foresee it being that much louder at highway speeds. Upgraded from 33/12.5/17 to 305/70/17 with a leveling kit without any issues. Great price!

Was a little hesitant about buying these tires because I had never heard of them before. They shipped super fast and I absolutely love them on my 2005 f150. Look very aggressive, are great in the mud and aren't to terribly loud on the road. Great tire for what I needed them for, will definitely purchase again.

Have only had these a week but absolutely love them. Smooth ride, quieter than my stock 265's. At this point I will buy them again, and again.
