Great.
In shopping for a portable speaker on Amazon, I purposefully bought this one, the least expensive I found. I've tested it in following ways:- Speaker for Game Boy/PSP: Outstanding, with good enough high-end response to sound accurate on noise/PCM tracks.- Speaker for laptop: Worked great, with sound quality surpassing the internal speakers in fidelity and volume.(In these two cases, it benefited from software volume boosting, although once at its performance volume there's not much headroom left. No matter - it's plenty loud!)- Primary monitor for band's mixing board: Handled it surprisingly well. Handles clipped input signals very musically. When made to clip on its own (output clipping), it's again quite musical, instead of brash and ear-hurting like typical cabinet-style speakers.Overall, I'm very impressed at how far portable sound has come. This carries quite far and has great lows for its size. Battery seems to run about 6-8hr the way I'm using it (flat out volume, but also being fed by a device running 100%). It will happily rattle its way off of things if you aren't careful. Finally, though very omnidirectional, it does have a fair amount of proximity effect and does fire 'up' - so you *can* set it up to be an enjoyable volume for you while not bothering someone else in the same room.If you have a stereo signal where a track is panned 100% left or right, it will be inaudible. So the hardware downmixing seems to have limitations. MOST sound is fine, but 100% panned signals may disappear - try changing them to mono. One tiny minor gripe: The tabs to keep it securely compacted aren't too durable and might snap, forcing this thing to stay in the extended position. Since it sounds best that way (mimicing bass reflex) to me, I don't mind much. TIP: Use a right-angled cable with this thing and it'll fit down in your cup holder, no problemo.

Sound is OK
I bought this and the Nude Audio Move S Wired and compared the two. The Mini II has a volume control on it where the Nude S doesn't. The X-Mini II didn't sound quite as good as the Nude Audio. They both retailed for 30.00 except the X-Mini II was on sale for 12.99. Even though it is a good price, I am returning it and keeping the Nude S wired as it has a fuller sound and feels much sturdier. The X-Mini II was bouncing around while playing and could fall. It's not bad if for what I paid, but I want quality and don't mind paying full price for better sound and structure.

Volume is weak, but the rest of the design is GREAT!
I'd really give it 3.5 stars, but that's not an option.I ordered 2 of these.Pros: They last a long time. They are very compact and portable. You can easily connect multiple (I think as many as you want) speakers together without any extra cords or pieces needed!Cons: The volume on my phone is actually louder than one of these. Two connected together is better, but I don't always want 2 connected. I am pretty disappointed in the volume output. Other than that, these are great! :- /

NEVER AGAIN!
Do not buy them! I bought two and one arrived damaged. Amazon replaced it and they sounded great but after a while the volume starts lowering and it's because of its capacity.. I ended up with 4 and guess what 3 of them died and won't charge anymore so in the end I lost money because now I have to get a good one.. BTW I tale good care of my things and this items really sucks in quality and quantity.. It says it will die in a year.. Mine died like in less than 2 months

These are wonderful little speakers
These are wonderful little speakers, I have several. They hold up wonderfully, I dropped on in a bucket of paint and after wiping it off, it's still going strong. I had to return one because it didn't hold a charge very well and it was an easy exchange. I would just caution that it's not going to produce a mellifluous sound. I use it for talk radio for which it is more than sufficient.

Tiny and Rockin'
Well I was sceptic of this little dude, but for the price I thought I'd take a risk and go for it. I was looking for some speakers for several things. 1) Laptop speakers when I watch Netflix and 2) something portable for my iPhone around my apartment when I move room to room.Well this thing does the trick! The bass is so much sometimes that it moves the whole unit! Pretty awesome sound compared to macbook speakers and the iPhone's speaker. Plus it is so TINY! Get it, love it.

Workhorses for Travel of Play
I would recommend getting 2 of these to get some good quality, LOUD, and clear sound. You even get a little bass from these tiny workhorses of speakers. While it might not sound like there is a subwoofer under your bed, these make good accompaniments to outside picnics, travel, or hotel rooms (as the sound doesn't carry too far). HIghly recommend for the value, compactness, and the ease of use.

For the price and size, this speaker is the best around.
I bought this speaker, then a few months later I bought a second for my mom. They can be daisy-chained together, and get even louder. Totally worth the money.

My second one
Bought this fabulous little speaker because I bought one a couple of years ago and love it. Who knew such a great sound could come out of such a tiny thing. Plug them in to each other then into your CD player/Laptop ipod etc and the sound and quality is even better. Would, and have, recommended to others and have bought as gifts too and I am very popular. Bonus!

Good, so far
Had to get rid of my old one because the 3.5mm jack broke =/ On this one after the first or second opening of it one of the inside clips broke that hold it in its compact state. They all seem to be of a different build quality. Luck of the draw really

Amazing quality of sound
Bought this speaker for my ipad 2 and was amazed by how loud and clear the sound was for such a small speaker. Would definatley recommend, as ipad speakers are not the loudest and for music and movies this speaker does the job, well worth the £18 i spent.

Horrible service
Although the product itself is a good piece of tech, I would HIGHLY advise against buying from Techgear Solutions. In dealing with their customer support, they were extremely rude, to the point of calling me names and saying things like "you are like a kid. Feel sorry for your parents". I have never been treated in such an offensive manner before. I recommend a boycott of Techgear Solutions.

Faulty item
Absolutely gutted that I've only had this item 2 months and it's stopped working. I've tried everything, it's fully charged and I've made sure the volume is turned up. Due to the 30 days return policy I can no longer return this item so I've paid £15 and only used it twice! Terrible quality product. Will not be purchasing one of these again and certainly won't be buying from this particular seller. Really disappointed.
