Description and title don't match.** A: It's the clear gloss finish, they are showing a picture of a qt can of red primer but the ITEM description is J3890 which is the clear gloss finish coat **Q: What is the window for recoating the clear gloss** A: Read the application guide readily available via web search. From memory you want the first coat of gloss to go on within a day of the stain. I believe the first coat of gloss has to sit overnight. Subsequent coats can be applied as soon as the previous coat has cured. The wordage they use is something like “when your thumb no longer makes an impression”. Best applied on a warm humid day. I have applied 4 coats in a day. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Makes the wood durable and shiny like candy *by K***5 on November 1, 2025* I have used this product for several years, sanding and vanishing my wooden boat. The clear varnish enhances the beauty of the wood's color and makes it shine. After the primer and the 7 varnish coats are completed, the wood looks like candy. Durable. High quality and I don't use anything else. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product *by W***Y on November 13, 2023* Please with the product. Brightwork went well with this product. Will be purchasing again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tough Finish *by R***. on July 2, 2023* Must start with bare wood. Must apply 1 coat of Awlwood primer. Then up to 8 coats of Awlwood top coat. I used this on flooring. The shine is outstanding and it resists scratching better than the best varnishes. Now I use it on table tops and furniture. The shine after 3 coats is equivalent to 6 coats of varnish. Comes is a screw top can to keep water vapor out.. ## Frequently Bought Together - Awlgrip Awlwood Ma Gloss Finish (Size: Quart) - Awlgrip Awlwood Ma Primer, Clear Qt. - Awlgrip Awlwood Ma Brushing Reducer --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/20640372-awlwood-ma-gloss-finish-size-quart](https://www.desertcart.co.ke/products/20640372-awlwood-ma-gloss-finish-size-quart) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kenya* *Store origin: KE* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
