I had roots growing within a day or two. But, after reading through the negative reviews I should mention a few caveats. 1) Follow the instructions. This stuff is very concentrated so you definitely need to follow the instructions. 2) I used root-start squares (in a big sheet that fit into a seed tray) in order to start these. (Search "Grodan A-OK 1.5" Starter Plug, Sheet of 98" here on Amazon.) 3) Don't leave them in the root-start sheet for too long otherwise the roots will grow into each other. I have not tried it on anything else but it works great for Dahlia clippings. Because Dahlia tubers are so expensive this saved a ton of money when I wanted to plant 200+ Dahlias in my yard. (Plus, it was cool to be able to take cuttings from plants I knew I liked in order to expand that line.) It even worked on clippings that I thought were too far gone to survive.
