Great if you have a tonneau cover, but traps too much water if you don’t
Installed a weatherproof rollup tonneau cover on a 2025 Toyota Tundra. The built in gaskets around the tailgate are not completely weathertight, so I purchased the appropriate tailgate gasket kit from ESI as well as this gasket which is designed to seal the gap between the bed and the bottom of the tailgate. The material is some type of rubber or silicone; it’s very flexible yet rigid enough to withstand friction or debris. Installing this should provide more or less complete encapsulation of my truck bed against the heaviest water and dust intrusion. The only negative I’ve seen is that when the tailgate area is wet from rain, opening the tailgate allows water to drop down onto this seal and have nowhere to go. Without the seal in place, water would previously just drain through the gap between the bed and tailgate. Because it’s now unable to do that you need to wipe it up with a towel or just allow it to evaporate. The benefit of having a mostly water and dust proof truck bed outweighs the inconvenience of water collecting on the gasket, so I’m satisfied. But keep in mind that if you don’t have a tonneau cover, installing this gasket could prevent rainwater from draining out of the bed and potentially lead to rust.

Should work great
I used this on a 2024 Ford Maverick. It is very soft and flexible, so it fits nicely over the tapered grooves in the bed of the pickup. So far it is great. we will see what happens when the weather turns much colder. I used this in coordination with D shape rubber seal to close off most of the upright portions of the tailgate gap to try and keep some of the dust out. I did install it so it is under the edge of the drop in bed liner.Best advice, apply during warm weather, measure the gap from bed to tailgate and follow instructions in regards to the prep.

Great quality.
Great quality, it installed well. The instructions show how to do it and I have had it on in Texas heat and it has not come lose. It really helps and I’m happy with it.

Very handy item
I installed this in the bed of a 2000 Silverado. So far, so good. The instructions are detailed and should be followed. I spent one day cleaning all surfaces. I then waited for a warm day and I installed the cover in the early morning. It is important to leave the tail gate down for 24 hours, which gives the glue time to set. There is a very small package that comes with this kit that can be easy overlooked. It is a small cloth coated with a pre-surface sealer. I almost overlooked it. It needs to be wiped over the surface to ensure the glue will stick. I did not give this product five points because it could have been two inches wider. If it had been a little wider, I could have put a metal strip with medal screws, which would have ensured it would stay in place for a longer time. To be fair, none of the ones advertized on the internet are any wider and all the others are more expensive. This is a thick rubber, so it appears it will last a long time. I have hauled dirt, hay and branches since I installed this and it has saved me a lot of time and work I used to spend digging that junk out of the crack between the bed and the tailgate. I am happy with the purchase.

Not worth the money
Not worth the money, just use another rubber seal from local store , it will be easier. I cut off not long after applying on Tacoma.

THE TRUCK ACCESSORY YOU DID NOT KNOW YOU NEEDED!
The media could not be loaded. Very happy with this purchase! Honestly, it baffles me that all trucks don’t come with one of these from the factory. There are several reasons I recommend it:• It keeps dust and debris out• It helps keep your tools and small hardware in• It offers solid weather protectionIf you’re a contractor who hauls around nails, screws, or other loose gear, this is a must-have—unless, of course, you also happen to own a tire shop
