It’s thin enough that it’ll fit in the washing machine, but sturdy enough that my dog (who tries to bury treats in the couch and digs at it furiously) hasn’t been able to rip it. It also works well to protect the couch from food spills from my 2 kids (and me too, lol) but it’s not fully waterproof. The pink color is more of a dusty rose. I really like how it brightens up my living room.
