Satin (White) Adult Top Hat (One Size Fits Most Adults) [Apparel]

This is a molded polyester hat. I would say it is for an average size head insofar as it was a bit too big for me. I have a slightly smaller head circumference and short, fine hair, so hats tend to be big on me, and this one was no exception. I put some foam around the inside of the hat and was good to go. (I expected to have to do that, and actually it stayed put all the better because the foam had some grab to it.) It arrived right on time and was a good quality. I do recommend.

This is a great little hat. My child needed a hat to decorate for a school project, and she was clear that she wanted a white top hat. For the price you can't go wrong. It's a little big for my child's head, but I expected that- it fit on my head nicely- but I could see it might be small if an adult had a large head. The quality was better than the price makes you expect.

The hat that I received feels like it's made out of polyester or really heavily pressed felt, kind of like the brim of a baseball cap, but slightly more flexible. On top of that material there is a Satin...ish fabric sewn onto the brim, and form-stretched to fit the "chimney" of the hat. (Not sure that's the 'proper' word, but it's the closest one that makes sense to me.)The band that goes around the base of the hat crosses over itself, forming a sort-of bow, and it is stitched onto the brim and onto the chimney.As for the brim itself... they could have done a better job, I think. It's hard to sit in any kind of chair with a headrest because when I lean back the hat pushes down in front and pushes on my nose. (Although, that may be true for any/every top hat... I don't know.)There is a small band that wraps around the outside of the brim itself, and where it comes together there is a large seam, and it isn't very well done. Not only does it bulge, but the end of one of the strings is longer than the stitch is starting to come out. I'm slightly afraid to cut it down because I don't know if I would be better off tying it somewhere before I trim it.The fit isn't that great, but then again, I've only worn it a couple of days/times since it arrived. (I've been wearing it with the rest of my Sunday church suit.) After a while it will probably break itself in.I read a comment that someone received one in dirty condition. I don't know about anyone else, but mine arrived neat and clean. I've bumped into a ceiling or a doorway/or something, so now there's a little dark spot at the top and back of the chimney, and I'm not sure on the best method of cleaning it, but I think a little water (on a damp sponge... I wouldn't saturate it.) shouldn't hurt it.

This hat looks like someone sat on it and kicked it across the room then sat on it again. Worst tophat, don't buy it.

So, the hat says Satin, but that is the ribbon on the hat. The hat is made of a very thick, harder felt material, so it might not be good to wear in the rain. It's good for the price. If you are looking for something "fancier" this is not the hat for you than. And if you have a smaller head, it might be a little big.I'm using this hat to decorate for Easter, than again for 4th of July, so the hat will do the job. No complaints about it yet.

I needed a white hat for my 9yo girl to wear in Halloween day to school. I saw several reviews stating their hats arrived with dents. But limited options for a white top hat. Her hat did arrive dented. The deliveries have been, I didn't think another would arrive on time. I think the fit runs a little small. Snug on my head and slightly loose on the 9yo. It was white and clean, more of a stiff felt than satin.

There were two tiny orange marks on the front of the hat, one of which I was able to scrape off with a fingernail. There are quite a few very small black specks on the front and back of the lip. Nobody will notice these marks though, as they are very tiny. It is just disappointing that this mostly pristine white hat was so close to perfect. Other than that, the construction seems high quality. It is very rigid.

Great hats!Bought these for my wedding for me and my brothers (my best men) to wear for some silly photos.They were delivered in good shape and fit well.If you have a larger shaped head it may be a snug fit.

I bought it for the kid so he could put black spots on it, now he can pretend to be his favorite "Slender tubby."

Is't good for my weeding. Thank you very mush for my hat.
