A little backstory on my specific pain and original need for a brace; I've been in multiple small scale car accidents, bike accidents, and worked very labor intensive jobs for most of my career. I've had back pain for most of my life, generally centered around my mid and low back. This year, I've been helping out my folks with some home improvement projects, mostly in the garden and fixing things up, but my back was starting to seriously hurt and ache, and I would wake up with painful stiffness nearly every day.I started looking for a back brace, not really certain how much it would assist me, but figuring 'Hey, what could it hurt?' After searching many designs, I settled on this one.Within literally 30 seconds of putting the brace on, my back pain was extremely reduced. Much of the stress in my back was relieved, and while I couldn't bend my back as easily with the metal rods implanted in the spine of the brace, I actually found that helped me to lift with my arms and legs rather than my back. Pulling up stone pathways, laying new ones down, digging up hedges, cleaning and moving heavy bags of gravel, this back brace helped me to be able to work for longer, and have less pain after working. When you've had back pain constantly for your entire life, having proper support seriously helps.Additionally, I was quite sore one day, likely from sleeping wrong, and had a headache as a result. I put on the brace loosely, and it helped immensely to relieve my soreness after wearing it for about an hour, simply sitting in my recliner.If I have one complaint, it's in the comfort side of it. With how the brace fits, the longer straps go under your arms, and when they're snug, as they should be for proper support, it can rub against your armpits uncomfortably. It makes it rather painful to wear over a tank top, thus I have to wear a t-shirt to wear the brace. The rubbing becomes chafing as you sweat, and while I have not blistered that area yet due to taking it off frequently, and only wearing it when I REALLY need it, I believe it is a possibility. Thus, I can only really advise wearing the brace for about an hour or two at most without a break, possibly less if you happen to sweat a lot.In conclusion, I love this brace. It's one of the best designs for helping low, mid, and upper back support that I have found, and it helps posture, aches, and with support as you work. Just be aware of the straps under your arms to make sure they don't chafe too badly.

Really supports and straightens you up, but a bit too constricting for my taste and I can only stand if for about 20 minutes at a time.

The device works exactly as it should, and I'm happy it has the support bars going the full length up. My upper and lower back, shoulders, and neck are already feeling better after my first day of use.I rated the comfort 3 stars because the way the straps run under my armpits became uncomfortable. This could have been from user error being too tight, so I loosened it a little bit, but I found the straps still rubbed in the same fashion.Aside from that, I'll still be wearing this device daily, to promote better posture on my slouching shoulders.

I do not find it all that helpful for my rounded shoulders. The sizes are based on waist measurement and don't seem to consider that some skinny people like myself have a small waist and have a longer torso. I have a ~34" waist and ordered a large. As a result, it pulls up above my belly and doesn't seem to squarely pull my shoulders back but rather down, causing pressure rubs at the front of the shoulders. If it's pulled down to support the lumbar area, the bulk requires a larger waistband in slacks by 1"-2"! Wearing it on warm days, it's really hot and sweaty,

Amazon described this product in three "sizes": small, medium and large. My wife typically wears small sized garmets, so ordered the small. But it seems that these three sizes were refering to the waist, not the overall size of the person. The strip around the waist was too short for her. I had to buy additional velcro to complete it. The description should have said which dimention it was referring to when describing them as small, medium and large. Better, the strap around the waist on the product should be longer for for those who need a small size but have a wider waist.

This really works great, as I slouch a lot. and over time, that slouch keeps aggrevating a whip lash problem I had from an accident. This back brace really helps, better than others I have bought in the past . I got a cheap one, with a couple bands - and it eventually aggregates areas around my arm pits. This Back Posture Corrector is more Stable, comfortable as it uses my stomach area as a means of support as well.I would highly recommend it. BUT if you are BIG around your Waist - move on to something else. Most back problems do come from being Overwieght, and the fat around your waist contribute to your alignment being off balance. Lose the Weight First....then try the posture corrector. I lost over 50 lbs, and this works & the weight loss helped Tremendously.

Wish it came with instructions, the long straps are confusing at first. once i had them figured out, and going through the hold in the back when i was first going the opposite way, i could feel the difference IMMEDIATELY. going to try sleeping with it on to see how it is in the morningRECOMMENDED for when i'm on the computer for a while, definitely less strain and soreness

I got this to alleviate slumping when I sit a long time at my computer. I didn't notice it helping my sitting posture much, if any. No matter how I tried adjusting it, all the support seemed in the middle of my back and there was no contact closer to the top, which is why I'm returning it. While it's not terribly uncomfortable, it does take some getting used to.
