Roughly 6 inches wide by about 10! Inches tall. Very very small. **Q: Can anyone recommend a binbag (i.e. optimum size, good quality) to use for the 12L version please?** A: I use Brabantia bin bags, size C for 10 - 12 litre capacity and have been perfectly happy with these: strong and easy to tie and dispose of. I knew what size I wanted and researched many products from numerous sellers. After reading reviews on this particular item, I was drawn to it, not just because of the price (which was certainly cheaper than others) but because of the reviews. I would agree with the majority of the reviews - the bin does not look cheap (so do not be put off by the amazon basics 'tag'), the shape actually seems to be a space saver versus a normal circular bin, and my view is that it does look good quality and not cheap at all. The lid opens via a foot pedal, and has a slow closing lid, all of which operates well. A bonus point to me versus my old bin is that the inner compartment is plastic so can be easily washed and cleaned (my old bin inner compartment was stainless steel which has corroded over time).
