The adapter has 13 ft of wire with a built in fuse, so you don't have to splice in the yellow fuse that comes with the wiring harness. I only needed 6 feet of wire to the power outlet so I cut off the extra 7 feet. Cut off the 3 'O' wire tips. Wire the power adapter directly to the red/white wires of trailer light control module. Store the power adapter by the 4 way flat adapter when not using. Total time start to finish about 30 minutes. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy to follow instructions *by R***. on Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2020* Plug and play as it says. My rouge had a power outlet in the back panel labeled at 10 amps the kit has a fuse that is 15 amp. While i had the panels open I tried it to see if it would blow the car factory fuse at 10 amps and it did not. I put it all together and tested it several times with out a problem. This saved me the step of running a wire all the way to the battery which I did not want to do anyway.
