A: DESIGNED IN UK....BUT MADE IN CHINA.  QUALITY IS GOOD.  I HAVE GIFTED SEVERAL AND THE RECIPIENTS LOVE THEM

**Q: what is the closed length?**
A: 14" from tip to bottom closed. Note: umbrella  is made and shipped from china. Material is regular polyester with weave print only... fyi

**Q: what is the diameter of this umbrella?**
A: The diameter is 3 ft. + 3"

**Q: why not design this umbrella into double canopy?**
A: I think they have a double canopy version... I had one and lost it which then led me to getting this one.
