Not direct fit for Chrysler 3.8l Engines
Works fine but is NOT a direct fit for 2007-2011 Jeep Wrangler with 3.8l engine. The gasket that comes with this thermostat has a nipple on one side but the thermostat housing on these Chrysler 3.8l engines does not have a notch for it. You can either cut the nipple off or reuse your old gasket.

$56 plus for a Stat???
Works just fine and at a huge savings compared the performance Co. version. No modification required on my 03 Mini Cooper S but the gasket that comes with it won't work. I think I got the correct gasket at Rock Auto. If yours is in decent condition reuse it. Works great in the TX heat but you may throw codes in cold weather. Not a big issue if you have a Scan tool. My 03 has a blower with a pulley and mods. Heater still puts out heat when needed. Running the engine at 180% is just good insurance as well as setting everything else in the right direction. You might even get a few extra HP out of it. Mini uses plastic in the cooling system which heat seems to weaken. I've had no issues and replaced the Thermostat Housing just for form, as it was fine.I used to work at Carroll Supercharging and we did this mod to all the cars we installed blowers on.At this price I'm buying 2 more as back ups and am still saving $$ over *7's!As a follow up on 2-8-2014:In the colder weather I'm seeing my coolant temp vary roughly 12 degrees from 168 - 180 and back again. Not sure if this is within tolerance but it seems to be OK.

Seems to work perfect. Only reason for 4 star is the rubber gasket that came with thermostat had a notch on the outside that did not line up with anything on the thermostat housing so I had to use the stock rubber gasket.

As described, fit and cooler than stock. I overheat, and I know why. Don't use under temp thermostats unless you're a professional and know why you want to be cooler. Stock heat is what you should run, otherwise.
