## Description

Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pads have become the standard by which all other pads are judged. Decelerator pads are made from a "super soft" rubber blend that provides maximum recoil reduction and shooting comfort.

Review: From six feet away, it's hard to tell it's not a true leather-covered pad... - Pachmayr makes great pads, and this Old English is no exception. It's the closest commercial rubber pad I know of that actually looks like a true leather-covered pad. It ground to fit beautifully and does a great job of absorbing some recoil while getting my gun to its proper length of pull.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this fit a browning auto 5 belgian era?**
A: Be sure to measure the width and overall length of the butt stock without the original buttplate on it and order the proper size pad as there are three.  I used the Medium one on my Browning Citori but as I remember the Auto 5 it has a rather large butt.  You can NOT just order the largest pad and grind it down as it is edge loaded for support and you may grind through the pad, so get the right one.  On the other hand, the 325 series pads with the XXX side pattern are the same all the way across the pad and can be ground down and the XXX pads offer the most recoil reduction.  If the existing gun has a hard rubber pad .375 inches thick you will have to cut the stock to get the same length of pull.  This is easily done by hand using blue masking tape in 3 levels of thickness to use a checkering file to scribe the stock and then a hand operated modellers saw to do the cut.  Cut from the outside in on all sides and the cut will be clean and sharp.  A recoil pad jig finishes the job.  If you try to cut it down with a Dremel tool and abrasive wheel y ou are going to get covered in dust but it can be done.  Just scribe the stock outline on the back side of the pad when it is mounted on the stock and grind to the close outside edge of the scribed line, then finish up to the line with fine sandpaper.  Getting the slope of the toe of the stock is going to be a bit of a job for someone who is new at this but take your time and it will come out quite well.  After doing 6 or so stocks i bought the jig from Brownells....What a difference! Good luck.

**Q: What is the lenth and width?**
A: I do not recall, check it out on the internet. It fit my 28 gauge auto very well. Good shooting !

First off this is a grind to fit pad, if you don’t know what that means do NOT buy this. For those who do, I very rarely get a bad product. (1 in 100 maybe) and is probably the best looking pad in the market if you do it right.
