There are cheaper options for adding water hardness, but this stuff works well and is both convenient and easy to dose. Will likely cloud water for a bit but it clears up fairly quickly. ## Features - MINERALS: Equilibrium is specifically designed to establish the optimal mineral content for the planted aquarium. It does raise the GH and KH . It's easy to use, not messy, and works on its own when used as directed, so there's no need to keep adding a little more. We drop it into some dechlorinated, treated water during routine water changes so it can dissolve before hitting the aquarium.
