Alpine SPR-10TW 1-inch Silk Ring Dome Car Audio Component Tweeters (Pair)

These were added to a setup comprising a JVC KW AVX-640 head unit, Power Acoustik GT5-2500 5-channel amplifier, a Pioneer TS-SW2501S4 10-Inch Shallow S4 Subwoofer in an MDF box behind the back seat, 4 Pioneer TS-A1685R 6-1/2" 4-Way speakers (1 in each door) and a pair of Toyota OEM tweeters in each front door. These were installed in the rear doors just forward of the window control panel. The idea was to add more balance to the effect of the powerful subwoofer in the back seat and to even out the effect of the tweeters in the front doors. Installation was easy following the instructions provided on the box and the result was delightful on the ears. The Alpine tweeter materials seemed of good quality and the "screw ring" mechanism for mounting it in the panel was easy, robust and tight, and didn't feel as though it would easily slacken during vibration. The swivel feature was perfect, since they are mounted in the doors and are required to be aimed upward to the ears of the listeners in the backseat. The finish was great and looked like original equipment in the door. I am a little worried about the integrity of the Alpine logo application, which adds tremendously to the aesthetics but is applied to the mesh using double-sided tape. I am hoping that the application holds in the term. Most importantly, the Alpine tweeters are making their presence felt and are a very noticeable feature in the mix without being overpowering. They come through very clearly, complimenting the tight, heavy, thumping bass of the subwoofer and rounding out the 6.5" Pioneers in the doors, which themselves are 4-way, with bass, voice, tweeter and super tweeter. This was an excellent choice of tweeters and if/when I figure out a way to get them to fit behind the stock front door tweeter grilles I would order another pair instantly to replace the stock tweeters at the front.

Moved from Infinity Kapa 1" Tweeters to JBL GTO Tweeters, only to be disappointed. Just too bright (harsh sound).A little about my setup: 2009 Tahoe, using Kenwood Double-Din head unit, and Alpine 125W per x 4 Digital amp. I used the factory location of the tweeters on my Tahoe.I was a little skeptical buying a 3rd pair of tweeters. I didn't need the door components as they have already been changed, just some 1" tweeters. Its hard to find standalone tweeters. Note*** I had to take a file and shave off quite a bit of plastic to shove in the factory slot of the Tweeters, this is even after breaking the tweeters down to nothing... you will see what I mean.These are Type-R tweeters. It's one of the highest quality tweeters on the market, so don't let the affordable amazon price fool you. Love the sound and love that the crossover has an adjustment of power "Odb, -2db, -4db, -6db". I have been playing with 0db and -2db.Have no clue how these would sound with a factory head unit or an aftermarket without an amp. I have these things banging with a ton of power and eats it up.Don't waste your money on anything other than these. So many mounting options and is designed that way with all the different fitment options.

You clicked on this for one of two or both reasons, it is alpine or it is under $100. These are not horn tweeters or focal but alpine is strong. Amazon has unauthorized dealers so beware. I bought a sub here and in 3 weeks it was garbage. It was already fixed when it was sold me. I ensure if it's on Amazon I use crutchfield as the seller. Anyways these are clear and loud. I had to use a 2 inch drill hole saw and they fit perfect in my suv. They come with numerous attachments and sound dampening pads to which I used none of those. It sticks perfect. I have all alpine, door, sub, amps and now tweeters and these have brought the highs out and allow me to lower the type r 6x8 to add more bass with the 12 inch type r. Didnt need to but why not now that I have these. Play around with mounting location, just cuz your factory location is set it might not be the best. I mounted then slightly above door speakers so sounds blend as they come at you. Nothing worse then one sound wave trying to catch another. I also have these connected to the amp for my door speakers and WOW these have brought things high. Now lows rumble the mirrors and highs pick up notes I didnt even know was on certain tracks. Plus they look great, wouldn't say I'm an alpine fan boy but when you pay for pioneer or jbl or jl or Infiniti, alpine seems to pull me back and regret the name brands from others. Again beware that sellers on amazon are usually small ups mailbox locations and sell you garbage so dont blame alpine if you do not know who you gave your money to. You can find better tweeters but not better for under $100.

I didn't even amp these speakers just running them off front output of alpine head unit. Has adjustable filter( slide back cover and pull little jumper out and move to your choice) added just the prefect highs my system was lacking. No brain'r if you are looking for alpine sound

I took a saturday morning to replace my stock tweeters; they sound much better!the package has everything you could need for a replacement spacers, grilles labels, even foam inserts to make the tweeters fit snug.Anyway, I had some stock harmon-kardon (R56 Mini Cooper S) stock tweets that were titanium dome - i really don't care for the sound of these tweeter types, they sound very harsh and brittle at high volumes. Also they did not have good instrument separation at the high frequency ranges.The crossovers included are high quality and are adjustable for gain (0dB, -2dB, -4dB)I opted for a bit of ATV to make sure the tweeters did not move around in the given space that was a bit too roomy.
