## Description

Whether this is your first time using epoxy resin or you're a professional maker, TotalBoat TableTop epoxy kits make it simple to create gorgeous, crystal clear projects. Use this 2-part coating epoxy to create high-gloss finishes on table tops, bar tops, countertops, kitchen islands, bathroom vanities, desks, and other furniture. Its simple 1:1 mix ratio by volume, self-leveling consistency, and excellent bubble release make it easy to measure, mix, pour, and spread for great results. Compatible with properly prepared wood, metal, concrete, granite, vinyl, and other porous surfaces.Pour TableTop Epoxy in coating layers up to 1/4" thick. It can also be poured up to 1" deep in small molds when using no more than 6 fl. oz. of mixed epoxy per pour. Cures at room temperature and resists impact shock, scratches, color discoloration, and heat. UV stabilizers and a slight blue tint help the epoxy retain its clarity without yellowing. Use as a waterproof, BPA-free coating on food-contact surfaces in the home or in bars and restaurants. Always apply a seal coat before flood coating wood or another porous material. Pour it clear or add epoxy-compatible mica powder, alcohol inks, pigments, or embedded objects to personalize woodworking, resin art, tumblers, coasters, serving displays, and craft projects. For prolonged or intense outdoor UV exposure, protect the cured epoxy with a compatible polyurethane varnish.Do not use TableTop Epoxy for floors, cutting boards, direct food-preparation surfaces, large molds, deep river pours, or projects requiring more than 1/4" per coating layer. Choose a deep-pour epoxy for river tables, live-edge voids, and greater depths or volumes in a single pour. Store the resin and hardener tightly sealed in a dry place between 60–90°F. Compare TotalBoat TableTop Epoxy with table top coating systems from ArtResin, MAS Table Top Pro, Promise Epoxy, Stone Coat, and Superclear.

Review: First time using epoxy and it came out great! - I've never used epoxy before - I've always been a "heavy coats of poly" finisher. It has looked good, but never particularly great. I was building a low-use bar in our house and I figured "what the heck, let me try my hand at epoxy". I shopped around, but saw the website and watched a couple of videos on how to use TotalBoat's product and I figured I'd try it out. I started with hevea wood butcher block counter tops and I first used a poly and stain product. It was a disaster, so I sanded it off. The bright side is that I think enough remained where it closed the wood grain pretty well. Once it was off, I used a standard oil-based stain, and once dry, covered that with a water based poly coating. I let that dry and then sanded it smooth. Once it felt ready, I opened the two-part epoxy kit from TotalBoat (it showed up overnight, which was cool), read the directions thoroughly, and decided to go for it. I first did a two-quart batch of epoxy, mixing well for three minutes, then pouring that mix into another container and mixing again for another three minutes. I tested it out on the far corner of the countertop and once things didn't go south, I used the rest of it. Two quarts allowed me to do about six square feet. I then made a four quart batch, mixing it with the same process. That allowed me enough to cover the entire countertop, which was 11 feet long by 2 feet wide. To apply it, I used the TotalBoat scrapers, relying on the v-notched scraper the most for major movement of the epoxy from one area to the other. I used the flat edge scraper to gently bring epoxy onto the edge of the countertop. This was the only part that was messy...I'm VERY glad I had a pastic drop cloth covering the cabinets and the floor! Epoxy dripped everywhere! I had a torch ready for popping bubbles but I didn't see a single bubble on the entire countertop. I did look at the countertop in every direction and found several spots where the epoxy hadn't coated entirely. On some spots, I added a little more epoxy; on others, I used a brush and moved some neighboring epoxy to the empty spots. As the countertop dried, I used a brush to flatten the drips on underside of the edge, and that seemed to work well. One thing I also made sure of was the temperature. It's winter here and getting the overall temperature up to 70+ is a chore. I ended up buying an oscillating heating fan from the local big box store and that worked very, very well. I checked on the epoxy every hour or so to fix any drips and after about four hours, I removed my plastic sheeting so it wouldn't dry in place. I went to bed after five hours of checking, and in the morning...dang! It was not only hard to the touch, but GORGEOUS as well! I couldn't be happier with how it came out. I'm letting it cure for some more time before going back to work on the bar, but as it stands right now, it looks fantastic. For the recommended wording for this review, I'll leave a couple of notes. For clarity, it's perfectly clear. No issues or questions there. It's as clear as it's going to be. Value for the money is excellent. Sure, it's expensive, but the results are amazing! Smell? It had a bit, but not anything as bad as the stain I used, and it had less than the poly coating. Overall, I think this is a 10/10 product and I look forward to using it again!
Review: DIY worked great! - Quality product, clear and easy to use.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this heat resistant?**
A: Not really, a hot pot will leave a mark on it

**Q: do i need an edge coat for vertical edges?**
A: You should. Depend on type of wood and condition.

**Q: Can this be mixed with glitter?**
A: You should be able to mix it with glitter but you would have to add a flood coat (epoxy only) over it to make sure everything is sealed.

**Q: Can this be machined, sanded, polish after cure? I have used epoxies that never get hard.**
A: Follow the directions provided with product....exactly. Do not divert or alter the process in any way. Epoxy will cure within about 3 days for machining...given ambient temp stays around 75*-80* F. Final coat cures with a very glossy finish; no need for polishing.
Have patience & follow the directions. My countertop finish is absolutely glossy, hard, and amazing.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ DIY worked great!
*by L***M on August 24, 2026*

Quality product, clear and easy to use.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great stuff!
*by J***K on October 10, 2025*

This epoxy is easy to mix, very clear and glossy, bubbles pop easily, levels out nice. Takes a while to harden enough to sand. 1 day is not enough to sand off a finish layer but works fine for rough fill and sand, 2 -3 days is best for finish sanding. Nice stuff.
